Our Mayberry Needed More Than Ever Before

In today’s environment, the key to slowing the spread of COVID 19 is social distancing.

Many businesses are suffering in today’s environment. Many are being mandated to substantially reduce their customer traffic, or close their doors all-together.

By it’s very nature, Our Mayberry provides a safer way for consumers and businesses to interact.

The OM model allows product and service businesses the ability to offer their goods online, where consumers can discover and purchase from a safe distance (their home). This will reduce the volume of in-business traffic. 

By using the OM Wallet to redeem a product or service, the consumer uses their own mobile device and the business confirms through their own mobile device. This removes the need for multiple users to use a common device to swipe cards, enter pin numbers or physically provide a signature. This will further streamline the transaction process and enhance social distancing within the business locations themselves. 

Though the events of the past few weeks have forced us and our partners to cancel/reschedule our March events, we are making some changes that will allow us to launch beyond our initial community targets, making OM available across the country. (See Managing Taxes Update).

In addition, we are planning to introduce a new product offering for businesses to sell store credit, which we are referring to as a Stored Value Product. This will allow businesses that have had to close their doors the ability to generate advanced sales for a in-store credit product that can be redeemed similar to a gift card. We plan to have this feature available within the next two weeks.

No other platform provides all the advantages that Our Mayberry can to aid in this fight to curb the virus and provide small businesses that are suffering with a way to survive the current economic challenges.
